Day 2 -- Milan to Turin, welcome dinner.
We take the red eye and arrive in Milan, gather up a few passengers, and shuttle over to Turin. Here is our hotel, the NH Lingotto.
Our room with a very modern look. The building is a converted Fiat factory that was repurposed into a hotel, meeting center, and shopping mall.
Down the block is a great place called Eataly, where we split a four-cheese pizza and an coke.
That night, we all go to an orientation and then a welcome dinner.
Course 1: veal tonnato (tuna sauce), cheese with a tomato puree, and a giardiniera.
Course 2: a regional specialty: ravioli plin featuring pork and rabbit, with brown butter.
Course 3: veal with roasted vegetables.
Dessert: a mousse cake with hazelnuts.
